LCA-TEJAS:
LCA-Tejas is a single engine multirole combat aircraft with tailless compound delta wing for enhanced manoeuvrability. It is the smallest and lightest in its class of contemporary supersonic combat aircraft. LCA-Tejas was developed to replace India’s ageing MiG-21 fighters. This home grown fighter is equipped with glass cockpit, fly-by-wire flight control system and various state-of-the-art indigenous and foreign avionics & weapon systems. Third production line of LCA-MK1A at AMD Nasik is being established and production activities are also under progress. The new production line will enhance LCA-MK1A production capacity of HAL.
HTT-40
HTT-40 is a basic turbo propeller aircraft and it is designed and developed to meet the Basic Trainer Aircraft requirements of rooky pilots. The primary role of HTT-40 is to provide initial stage of training to pilots for graduating them to challenging Intermediate Jet Training. It is a fully aerobatic aircraft having capabilities to perform loops, barrel rolls, combination aerobatics and negative ‘g’. The aircraft is designed with an objective of low life cycle cost, advanced flight and navigation system with modern avionics, simplicity in design features with high fatigue life, quick turnaround time and trouble free maintenance cost for reduced down time. The aircraft is powered by Honeywell single TPE 331-12B Turboprop engine with a four bladed propeller. Establishment of infrastructure and production activities of HTT-40 BTA are under progress at AMD Nasik Division.
Su30 MKI
Twin-seater, Multi-role, Long range Fighter / Bomber / Air Superiority Aircraft. HAL has successfully completed the deliveries of Su 30 aircrafts to Indian Air force. Operational capability of the aircraft is enhanced with indigenous implementation of various weapon integration modifications on Su-30MKI. Division is providing spares and other support for maintenance of Fleet.
UNDERCARRIAGE
The Division has facilities and expertise for the manufacture and overhaul of Undercarriages of ALH, LCA, LCH. The Division also has facilities and expertise for the overhaul of Undercarriages of Mirage-2000 & Su-30 MKI. The landing gears are of a conventional tricycle type and consist of one steerable Nose wheel leg and two Main wheel legs to roll the aircraft in motion, on the ground, during take-off run and landing run. The Landing Gear legs have Pneumatic shock absorbers. Division is also exploring possibilities for manufacturing and overhaul of Undercarriages for Civil aircrafts and UAVs.
CANOPY
The Division manufactures and overhauls canopies of Su30 MKI aircraft. Manufacturing of Canopies of LCA-MK1A, HTT-40 is also planned at AMD, Nashik.
FLEXIBLE RUBBER FUEL TANKS
The Division manufactures and supplies all types of Rubber Fuel Tanks required for MiG-21 Variants. The Division is also involved in Indigenisation of rubber fuel tanks of An-32.The Rubber Fuel Tanks are provided with special protection coating against Ozone/heat and adverse climatic conditions. The Division has exported a large number of Rubber Fuel Tanks.
